Aspiring solo-artist Ollin Kan from Brussels took a minute in between gigs to have a chatter with me, so have a good read!

A lot has happened in the last two years for you – Please re-collect a bit about it for us!
It’s been quiet a roller-coaster for me, as I have been playing on really big stages across the globe as a violin player with French artists Klingande  and now my newest project Ollin Kan starts to gain a lot of attention as well.

You recently had some success with two tracks that were getting a lot of plays. What’s coming next for Ollin Kan?
Yeah, I am happy for the support everybody has been giving me so far. Next up are some remixes that coming out soon and my first original track is also set for a release. I hope people will like it and in my opinion it’s something totally new and refreshing!

Tell us a bit more about your passion for playing the violin!
Violin always has been my big love together with my wife and child. That’s how I started my career playing together with Klingande , Baker at and many others big artists. You will hear the violin in my original track since it’s an instrument that brings a lot of passion with it.

You are steadily performing on bigger stages, are you still nervous to get out there?
I have to say that every time it’s a new experience for me  but I have to say that I get more nervous when I play some new tracks that people haven’t heard yet. It’s always a moment of uncertainty as you look how the crowd reacts to it but also a reliefing one when they love your very own productions.

And our last question for you, what are you currently listening to?
Petit Biscuit – Sunset Lover
Paul Kalkbrenner – Aaron
Camelphat feat. A.M.E – Paradigm
Sam Feldt – Show me Love
Gold Sin ft. Anouk Hendriks – Ducked Ape

Thank you so much for having a minute, Renato!
